Prophecies Concerning Apostasy Within The Church
After the Second Vatican Council, Pope Paul VI remarked that the smoke of Satan was seeping into the Church through cracks in the wall. On October 13, 1977, he said: The darkness of Satan has entered and spread throughout the Catholic Church even to its summit. Apostasy, the loss of the faith, is spreading throughout the world and into the highest levels within the Church.
Numerous reputable prophecies and apparitions of both Our Lord and Our Lady throughout the years have precisely predicted this great Apostasy, or loss of the true faith, in the Church brought about principally by the diabolical infiltration of freemasonry into Church ranks.
In the Church-approved Marian apparition of Our Lady of Good Success at Quito, Ecuador in 1634, Our Lady warned Venerable Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres that in the late 19th Century and throughout most of the 20th Century, the Church would yield to a great heresy. The Sacrament of Matrimonywill be attacked and profaned, and Masonry, which will then be in power, will enact iniquitous laws with the objective of doing away with this Sacrament, making it easy for everyone to live in sin, encouraging the procreation of illegitimate children born without the blessing of the Church.
Blessed Emmerich likewise saw the special relationship between two popes during the End Times, or the period just prior to the Second Coming of Jesus:

Other symbols among the 36 added on Thursday include Dylann Roofs Bowlcut, a reference to the haircut worn by the white supremacist gunman who killed nine African-Americans at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C.
Followers of Roof have incorporated the distinctive haircut into screen names such as Bowltrash or The Final Bowlution or collectively have referred to themselves as the Bowl Gang, according to the ADL.
Another addition is The Moon Man, a meme derived from 1980s-era McDonalds commercials that has since been hijacked by members of the alt-right, who attach racist songs, language and imagery around it.
Among the white nationalist group symbols in the database include the Rise Above Movement out of Southern California, which, according to the ADL, claims to have the goal of fighting against the destructive cultural influences of liberals, Jews, Muslims and non-white immigrants.
The ADL also featured the newly-formed American Identity Movement, which is a rebranding of Identity Evropa, considered one of the largest white supremacist groups. Members of the group participated in the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville in 2017 that resulted in a womans death, and some members were doxxed, which is when someones private information is shared publicly online. For all practical purposes, AIM is essentially Identity Evropa with a new name and logo, the ADL said.
Hate Sign Or Silly Game Military Academies Probe Hand Signs

When is OK not okay?
Some West Point cadets and U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen flashed what looked like a sideways OK finger gesture during a live television broadcast over the weekend at the Army-Navy football game. Now military officials are probing their intentions. Was it an affirmation? An innocent made-you-look circle game? Or a sinister white supremacy signal?
Screenshots and clips of the hand gestures captured by cameras at Saturdays game in Philadelphia went viral on social media. Some Twitter users condemned the gesture as a white power sign. Others called it the gotcha or circle game popular with children, where someone flashes an upside-down OK sign below his waist and punches in the shoulder anyone who looks at it.
The circle game, around for generations, was featured in the early 2000s sitcom Malcolm in the Middle and has made a resurgence as a photobomb prank in sports team photosalong the same line as bunny ears fingers. In more recent years, it became an internet meme in a online game of gotcha.
But the Anti-Defamation League said the gesture, with the thumb and forefinger touched in a circle and the other fingers outstretched, has also been appropriated as a signal for white supremacy. That started as a hoax perpetuated on the online message board 4chan. The original idea was to take an innocent and common gesture and arbitrarily transform it into something that would enrage liberals.

What The Research Says
The good news is that there are no real drawbacks to using signs with your young children. Many parents express concern that signing will delay the expression of verbal communication.
No studies have ever found that to be true, and there are some that suggest the exact opposite effect.
There are studies that suggest the use of sign language doesnt help infants and toddlers acquire verbal language earlier than usual, but even these studies dont show that signing delays the ability to talk.

Examples Of Signed Interjections
Remember that the meanings of interjections are not always fixed. Their meanings may shift in contexts. We need to be aware of the context to understand the intended emotion or response.
These common, basic ASL interjections are often found in basic ASL classes and in everyday: #ok , oh, and pshaw.
One of the most common ASL interjections is #ok.
ASL interjection: oh, oh-i-see.
Non-manual grammar is also important and may be accompanied to convey a subtle meaning. For example, one uses a “oo” mouth bound with the ASL sign “OH”. It’s “oh”. But, when the mouth morpheme is “ahh” with the sign “OH”, this meaning is more of “Oh I see!”
Interjection as glossed or transcribed as “PSHAW” in “oh stop it”, “oh please”, “no big deal”, “no, it’s all right”, …
Contextual variants: FINE + PSHAW.
These interjections are a few examples. Social immersion or interaction is necessary to fully understand how to use them correctly in subtle various contexts.

Language Endangerment And Extinction
As with any spoken language, sign languages are also vulnerable to becoming endangered. For example, a sign language used by a small community may be endangered and even abandoned as users shift to a sign language used by a larger community, as has happened with Hawai’i Sign Language, which is almost extinct except for a few elderly signers. Even nationally recognised sign languages can be endangered for example, New Zealand Sign Language is losing users. Methods are being developed to assess the language vitality of sign languages.

The White Supremacy Hoax
The myth of the OK gesture as a secret symbol of white supremacy begins in 2017 as a deliberate effort on 4chan to spread the sign as such. It was chosen in part due to its use by the controversial speaker Milo Yiannopoulos and some white nationalists in support of Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election. Its creators also claimed that the fingers of the OK gesture represent a W for white and the ring a P for power, as illustrated below.
white power
Online and at gatherings, some members of the alt-right adopted the OK gesture to signal their identity. Many employed it, though, simply to troll liberals who had come to believe the OK hand was a genuine hate symbolincluding using OK Hand to this end on social media.
The hoax made the news in 2017 after several figures associated with white nationalism were photographed flashing an OK gesture in prominent places, such as the White House Press Room.
In 2018, Zina Bash, an attorney and supporter of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, was wrongly accused of displaying a white power gesture during his Senate confirmation hearings. Following this story, the Anti-Defamation League, which maintains a significant database of hate symbols and tracks extremist groups, clarified that the OK gesture is not a white supremacist hand sign:
Basically: read the context.

Where Else Has The Gesture Surfaced
A number of high-profile figures on the far right have helped spread the gestures racist connotation by flashing it conspicuously in public, including Milo Yiannopolous, an outspoken former Breitbart editor, and Richard B. Spencer, one of the promoters of the white power rally in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017 that resulted in the death of a 32-year-old woman.
The gesture was in the headlines again after Roger Stone, a longtime political adviser to President Trump, met with a group of white nationalists known as the Proud Boys in Salem, Ore., in 2018 and was photographed displaying it with them.
Critics expressed outrage when a former White House aide, Zina Bash, appeared to be flashing the sign as she sat behind Brett M. Kavanaugh during his televised Senate confirmation hearings for his appointment to the Supreme Court. Defenders of Ms. Bash insisted that she had not intended any racist connotation and was merely signaling O.K. to someone.
That the gesture has migrated beyond ironic trolling culture to become a sincere expression of white supremacy, according to the Anti-Defamation League, could be seen in March 2019 when Brenton Tarrant, the white supremacist accused of killing 50 people in back-to-back mass shootings at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, smiled and flashed the sign to reporters at a court hearing on his case.

Ok Sign Is Okay To You A Big Fat Zero To Some Europeans
A simple OK seems, well, simple, right?
However, the gesture made by circling thumb and forefinger, with the middle, ring, and pinkie fingers extended, has a couple of other meanings than the Okey dokey were most familiar with. Traditionally, its a way to show the number three in many Western countries, and a way to indicate the number seven in China.
In Japan, however, the okay gesture means money, which could lead to confusion if you use it to indicate everythings okay while youre in the country.
It can also be used in an insulting fashion in some Western countries, such as France as in, You great big zero. Zilch. Nada. Nothing. Ouch.
In Brazil, however, the okay symbol is the equivalent of giving someone the finger in the U.S. Its seen as a highly offensive gesture, and should definitely be avoided.
And in some places, it can mean that youre indicating that the other person is a, um, body part with happens to be round . Easiest just to smile enthusiastically when things are indeed OK in these parts of the world.

Sign Language For Toddlers
The sign language taught to normally hearing infants and toddlers is different from the American Sign Language used for the hearing impaired.
Its a limited vocabulary of simple signs, some of which are part of the ASL signs meant to express the common needs of this age group, as well as the objects they frequently encounter.
Most commonly, such signs will signify concepts like more, all gone, thank you, and where is it?
Use Of Sign Languages In Hearing Communities
On occasion, where the prevalence of deaf people is high enough, a deaf sign language has been taken up by an entire local community, forming what is sometimes called a “village sign language” or “shared signing community”. Typically this happens in small, tightly integrated communities with a closed gene pool. Famous examples include:
In such communities deaf people are generally well-integrated in the general community and not socially disadvantaged, so much so that it is difficult to speak of a separate “Deaf” community.
Many Australian Aboriginal sign languages arose in a context of extensive speech taboos, such as during mourning and initiation rites. They are or were especially highly developed among the Warlpiri, Warumungu, Dieri, Kaytetye, Arrernte, and Warlmanpa, and are based on their respective spoken languages.
A sign language arose among tribes of American Indians in the Great Plains region of North America before European contact. It was used by hearing people to communicate among tribes with different spoken languages, as well as by deaf people. There are especially users today among the Crow, Cheyenne, and Arapaho.
Sign language is also used as a form of alternative or augmentative communication by people who can hear but have difficulties using their voices to speak.

Where Does Circle Game Come From
Playable anywhere, the Circle Game is initiated when one person makes a circle with their forefinger and thumb, resembling the OK gesture, and holds it below waist-level. If someone else makes eye contact with the circle, then the circler gets to punch them in the arm. Players especially enjoy the game in inappropriate situations, sometimes setting elaborate or creative traps for their target.
In one common variation of the Circle Game, if the target person breaks the circle with their finger, they get to punch the circler instead.
The origins of the Circle Game are disputed. People anecdotally recall playing the game in the schoolyard in the 197080s. Vice traced the game to one, Matthew Nelson, who claims credit for inventing it in New Bremen, Ohio in the early 1980sthough theres no proof he either created or named the game. The TV show Malcolm in the Middle, which featured the game, helped popularize the Circle Game in the 2000s.
In the 2010s, references to the Circle Game have grown in popularity, often as an online meme, marking a new digital era of the schoolyard game. Its contemporary usage may be driven by millennial nostalgia or simply by the possibilities the internet has opened up for the game.
