Michelle Dubé, M.S.Ed, CCC-A received both her Bachelor and Masters Degrees from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Ms. Dubé started her audiology career in Florida where she worked for an otolaryngology clinic. She moved back to Buffalo in 2004 and has been employed by Buffalo Hearing and Speech ever since. Ms. Dubé is part of the Cochlear Implant Team that provides services to both pediatric and adult populations. She is also the head audiologist in the BHSC Oral Deaf Education classrooms. Her other specialties are pediatrics, ABRs, hearing aids, and diagnostic evaluations. In addition she has served as clinical supervisor for 4th year AuD students.
Ms. Dubé currently lives in Lockport with her husband and two sons. Ms. Dube has been working at Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center since 2004.

The UB Teach Speech and Hearing/Early Childhood-Childhood Education program is an accelerated, combined degree program that allows you to earn a Speech and Hearing BA and an Early Childhood/Childhood Education EdM within five years. It provides you with content expertise in Speech and Hearing while preparing you how to bring classroom lessons to life for children from birth to grade 6.
While in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences you will focus on the development and breakdown of speech, language, and hearing processes. Courses focus on the nature and causes of communicative disorders, the techniques used to assess and diagnose speech, language, and hearing disorders, and the current methods and therapies used to remedy these problems.
The graduate portion of the program you will master the skills needed to become an effective teacher. In the final year teacher residency, you will co-teach alongside an expert teacher to experience the inner workings of the classroom.
At the end of the five-year program, successful students will receive recommendation for New York State Initial and Professional Teacher Certification.

Congratulations to Mary Staebell, M.A., CCC-SLP, for graduating from the Apraxia Kids Intensive Training Institute !
A graduate of the Communicative Disorders and Sciences Department at the University at Buffalo, Mary earned a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology and began practicing in the Western New York region in 2007. She holds a license to practice as a speech-language pathologist in New York, as well as a New York state teaching certificate in the area of Speech and Language Disabilities. Mary is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence . Her practice focus has been with the pediatric population, with a concentration on toddlers and preschool age children. Marys interest in childhood apraxia of speech was piqued soon after she began practicing and has continued ever since. Since 2016 she has been employed at the University at Buffalo as a practicing SLP and clinical supervisor at the UB Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic. At the university clinic, Mary continues to develop her specialty in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric speech sound production disorders, including childhood apraxia of speech.
