Money Cant Buy Happiness
Can money buy happiness? No, money is a material asset. In today?s world many of us revolve our lives around money, but does it really make us happy? We are contented when we go out buying, not only essentials, but also the latest cars, fashions, new technology, furniture, going on expensive holiday?s etc. Having all these congenial material items will make us happy but it is artificial happiness.
NEW!
True happiness lies within our spirit, to be happy not with material items, but with ourselves, our family, and the gifts God has given us.
When we buy certain items of ?value? they may give us pleasure, but pleasure is not the same as joy or happiness. Pleasure fades quickly, and when pleasure is not connected to goodness and joy it has a bitter aftertaste. If we always choose pleasure over goodness and joy, we shall choke on the residues of the very pleasure that makes us who we are.
Happiness is not connected to being rich or poor. We all need fulfillment from sources other than money. It has been proven that forty-two percent of people would keep their current job, even if they won at least ten million dollars. For example a twenty-six year old Brooklyn schoolteacher kept working despite winning sixty-five million dollars. She stated that, ?My job will keep me grounded, it is about life outside of money relationships, and comfort.?. This shows us that there are people who will choose happiness after pleasure.
Basic Necessities Are Important
We often find ourselves saying, I need this, or I need that. With ads in our face all the time, telling us what we need, sometimes it is hard to distinguish between what we need and what we want. We need to pay for our housing, utilities, food, transportation and, of course, taxes. Just about everything else is nonessential. Make sure you have money for basic necessities. Reserve funds for things that fuel your passion, but think in the long term. The latest cell phone model and luxury car may tempt you, but think bigger than that. Start by understanding your true self and values.
Money Does Not Relieve You Of Stress
Having more money will often lead to higher expectations, which is why so many people with lots of money are stressed out about getting even more. Stress comes from having high standards and wanting the best for yourself its likely that most rich people have these kinds of standards for themselves all the time.

Money Cannot Buy Happiness
Last night, while doing my daily chores, a thought struck my mind is money everything? Is it important to have material comforts to lead a good life? Can money buy anything?
I thought, yes, most of the times you can buy anything you want, beautiful clothes, shoes and accessories which, when you wear them, makes everybody praise you. So you feel elated, happy and content. But after thinking deeply, I came to a conclusion that money can buy everything but everything material!
It doesnt buy happiness. It does not have the power to buy you a loving family or true friends. Benjamin Franklin said and I quote Money has never made man happy, nor will it. There is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has, the more one wants.
I can buy worldly comforts with money but I cannot develop love in a friends heart with money, I cannot make my mum happy with money, I cannot make my father satisfied with money.
Of course, one can make an angry friend happy with chocolates and flowers, but it will be temporary since relationships are made through sincerity and love, which are developed through understanding and companionship, not with money!
According to Garth Brooks, You are not wealthy until you have something money cannot buy!
It is good to have money and the things that money can buy, but make sure you dont lose the valuable things money cannot buy, that is loving relationships.
What Does Happiness Mean To You

The next time you see an ad for something you didnt know you needed but now cant imagine living without, take a deep breath, count to 10, and think about where your happiness really comes from. Call a friend, take a nature hike, or read a great novel. Then reconsider whether buying that item will really make you happy. If it does, by all means go for it! But if its just a passing whim, you may want to save that money for a rainy day.

Money Cant Buy Happiness Essay
Introduction
Money is one of the most important things in the modern world. It has become a tool to measure a persons status, power and influence in society. It is also used to determine an individuals success but It cannot estimate anyones happiness as It is an emotion and can never be bought with money.
Body
Money can buy materialistic things: It can buy expensive clothes, luxury vehicles, dinner at a 5 or 7 star hotel and countless other things but Can happiness be categorised the same as clothes or cars which can be bought with money. No, It cant. Money cannot buy love, affection, respect or trust. These are the emotions that bring real joy and happiness.
Its a simple deduction. If happiness couldve been bought with money then the rich shouldve been happier than the poor or the middle class. What we observe is complete opposite of it. Rich people are generally stressed and suffer from mental health problems while those who arent earning in seven figures are generally happy and satisfied with what they have.
Its not happiness that money buys, Its the temporary pleasure of materialistic things that we get from money and then it becomes a never ending race. To be truly one needs to understand that Happiness comes from spiritual wealth, not material wealth. To get joy, we must give it, and to keep joy, we must scatter it.
The Definition Of Happiness Changes For You From Time To Time
When you are earning enough that you should be with factors like age, education, and experience, you will no longer derive happiness from money.
You might as well be sitting on a pile of cash but you will think of all the time and energies that you have spent in earning that money and at what cost?- the time and energies which you could have devoted to your family, yourself, or as a fuel to your passions.
This reminds me of a quote from Dalai Lama,Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.
Long-term relationships and meaningful work will take over money as the primary sources of happiness for you- like great relationships with friends, colleagues, boss, and family members who you are sure to fall back on when things go wrong or in case you are facing some temporary setbacks or having a work environment that inspires and motivates you to work harder and be more productive.
A great work-life balance where you have enough time to pursue your passions and sit back and relax is another facet of happiness and money has no hand in these factors.
Happiness, in my viewpoint, is the perfect harmony of money and intangible things in life.
Compare that to suddenly shifting to a new place which will make you uncomfortable for maybe 3-4 months and you might call yourself unhappy.

Long Essay On Money Cant Buy Happiness 500 Words In English
Such long essays are usually helpful for students in classes 7, 8, 9, and 10. They are asked to write these essays for assignments and exams.
We often think that our lives would be so much better off if we just had more money. For example, that person in my class has the brand new Playstation. I wish my parents were that rich to buy me one. or That person has a nice looking Rolex. If only I had the money to buy one.If only I had the money to buy a new car. Hence, the list goes on. But what we take for granted is that once we have enough money to buy that item, we get bored of it and desire something new.
Psychologists call this the Hedonic Treadmill New things always become old, and they need to be replaced with newer items.
Another factor were not going to be happy with buying things is that we want to compare ourselves to those around us our families, our friends, celebrities, advertisements, etc.
When we see some new advertisements on TV, we feel like we have to buy it as a celebrity endorses it. When we open social media, we see photos of our friends and relatives who have gone for vacations and trips, and we feel we need the money to go on a vacation to enjoy ourselves as that is the only way to spend time with family properly. But what we dont realize is comparisons are often insidious and harming, especially if we see ourselves at the non-receiving end.
Money Does Buy Some Happiness
Of course, we still need to pay our bills and save for the future. Money buys peace of mind when we are able to live within our budget and save for the future. In the present, you will sleep better knowing you have some money in reserve in the event of an emergency. Looking into the future, you will be happy knowing you have built up enough of a nest egg to enable you to retire and live independently for as long as possible.
Money is necessary to invest in a business, but so is the passion that makes you happy. When you can identify what truly makes you happy and build your business around your passion, you increase the chances your business will be a success. As Marcus has said, Im a big believer that if youre happy and your employees are happy, your customers are going to be happy. If youre unhappy and your employees are unhappy, theres no way your customers are going to be happy.

Caught Up In The Rat Race
Typically, as your income increases, your lifestyle grows with it. When your boss gives you a raise, you want to reward yourself , so you spend more. All that new Stuff costsmoney to buy, store, and maintain. Gradually, your lifestyle becomes more expensive so you have to work harder to earn more. You think that if only you got another raise, then youd have Enough. But in all likelihood, youd just repeat the process by spending even more.
Psychologists call this vicious cycle the hedonic treadmill, though you probably know it as the rat race. People on the hedonic treadmill think theyd be happy if they just had a little more money. But when they get more money, they discover something else they want. Because theyre never content with what they have, they can never have Enough.
Most Americans are stuck on this treadmill. According to the U.S. Census Bureau , in 1967 the median American household income was $38,771 . Back then, less than one-fifth of U.S. families had color TVs and only one in 25 had cable. Compare that with 2007, when the median household income was $50,233 and nearly everyone had a widescreen color TV and cable. Americans now own twice as many cars as they did in 1967, and we have computers, iPods, and cellphones. Life is good, right? But despite our increased incomes and material wealth, were no happier than were in the 60s.

Money Provides Temporary Happiness
Money can make us happy, but it depends on how we spend our money. For example, spending money on experiences like traveling or going to concerts boosts happiness, while buying material items like clothes or furniture does not create lasting happiness. Therefore, positive psychologists recommend you take some time to think about what you would spend money on to maximize your happiness.
According to a Princeton University study, your level of happiness will go up until you earn about $75,000 a year. After that, your mood levels off. You begin to take for granted your ability to care for all the necessities of life with ease.
The majority of us believe wed be happier if we had more disposable income. Money can buy security, but as the Princeton studies show, people who earn enough to live without worrying about money dont get increasingly happier the more they earn.
Money allows you to get what you want in life when you are struggling financially, but that doesnt mean money always makes you happy or is the only thing that makes you happy. You are much more likely to be happy if you are grateful for everything in your life, especially the love and support of your family and friends.
Still, its only fair to say that initially, when you are coming into money after bitter personal experiences arising from a lack of it, money brings some short-lived happiness.
Only You Can Achieve Happiness
Notice the good in your life. See how others care about you. Be grateful for what you have. Be optimistic for the future, no matter how bleak the present.
Do the things you love, spend more time on what fulfills you. Create more of an internal experience for yourself, and be in the moment, and you will find it easier to experience happiness. Create more of an external experience for yourself , and life will continue to feel empty.
Be happy, for there is no cost, and there is only gain.

Money Can Attract Insincere Disingenuous And Dangerous People
With more money, the chances of attracting the wrong people increase. People who care only about getting money from you will be drawn to your business. They dont care about your core values and will frequently engage in unethical behavior to gain an advantage over you.
Although wealth does not guarantee happiness, it still attracts people who are after your fortune. Wealthy people often need to be cautious about unscrupulous individuals they attract. They often have to be careful when meeting strangers or taking risks on unsound business ideas pitched to them.
Higher Income Amounts To Lower Stress
In one study, 522 participants kept a diary for 30 days, tracking daily events and their emotional responses to them. Participants incomes in the previous year ranged from less than $10,000 to $150,000 or more. They found:
- Money reduces intense stress: There was no significant difference in how often the participants experienced distressing eventsno matter their income, they recorded a similar number of daily frustrations. But those with higher incomes experienced less negative intensity from those events.
- More money brings greater control: Those with higher incomes felt they had more control over negative events and that control reduced their stress. People with ample incomes felt more agency to deal with whatever hassles may arise.
- Higher incomes lead to higher life satisfaction: People with higher incomes were generally more satisfied with their lives.
Its not that rich people dont have problems, Jachimowicz says, but having money allows you to fix problems and resolve them more quickly.
